This is a view of the moon from my neighborhood. Due to trees in my front yard I walked down my street roughly twenty-five feet to see the moon. The picture was taken around 8:35 PM, an hour and twenty minutes before moon set time, which is probably why I had to walk down my neighborhood to find the moon.At this time the moon is 21.1% visible and resembles a waxing crescent. Although it may be hard to tell by the photograph the crescent is to the right side of the moon. Today, marks the fourth day since the new moon on August 17th.
