I searched for the moon for almost an hour in and around my neighborhood
and could not find the moon. I am not surprised by this because overcast skies have been present all day. I checked
periodically throughout the evening up until 9:00 p.m. However, I
noticed when I looked outside of my window at midnight, before I went to
bed, I could see a faint outline of the moon. Based on the cycle of the
moon, I would say that tonight’s moon would continue to show growth in
illumination. Additionally, since last night was the first quarter moon
the moon would have become a waxing gibbeous.
