It was a bit difficult to spot the moon tonight because of
intermittent thunderstorms this evening. The moon was nowhere to be found in the front of my house tonight, so I had to go in the backyard. I was able to find the moon between two tall oak trees. My photograph was taken around 8:45 PM, around three hours and twenty minutes until the moonset time. Fifty-five percent of the moon is visible tonight as tonight is the first quarter moon.
