Tonight the moon is around 97% illuminated resembling a full moon. This picture of the moon was taken at 10:00 pm at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. I had to walk around the parking lot of the student building to find a good shot of the moon between the trees. I was unable to photograph the moon from my house this evening due to overcast skies. Also, I would like to note that the moonset time is 5:22 AM, Thursday morning. Yesterday, Tuesday, August 28, moonset time was at 4:19 AM this morning. Moonset time has gradually become later since August 24.
