This picture of the moon was taken in front of my house around 9:00 PM, six hours before moonset time. In order to find the moon I had to walk twenty-five feet in front of my house to the mailbox. The moon is around 86% visible with the crescent to the right. Additionally, the moon appears large at 9:00PM despite moonset being at 3:15 AM because the new moon is four days away.
