The picture of the moon was taken about twenty-five feet in front of my house at 9:00 PM, seven hours before moonset. The moon probably will not be in  I have noticed a pattern with the moonset time as it gets closer to a full moon. Moonset time is extending as it gets closer to the full moon; each night the moon is appearing in the sky longer and longer. Tonight the mean appears to be almost completely visible at 93% visibility. Hurricane Isaac made landfall today in the gulf so I am curious to see how this effects moon visibility for the rest of the week.
