Due to overcast skies and rain on Monday, September 3 I was unable to really see the moon until 5:30 AM on Tuesday, September 4. This timing makes sense because meridian passing time for Birmingham, AL was not until 2:41 AM Tuesday morning and mooonset time is not until 10:15 AM. My illustration of the moon shows how the moon appeared from the UAB campus green facing towards Snoozy's Bookstore. There did appear to be some change in the illumination of the moon from Saturday and Sunday.
